Perception of the level of sustainable development in the government and business sectors of Navojoa, Sonora, using categorical variables

Abstract

This paper describes a study of perceived level of sustainable development in government and business sector of the city of Navojoa, Sonora, currently lack joint strategies, working in isolation and not all sectors have paid attention to this concept also there are no studies on the perception of sustainable development in the city of Navojoa. Therefore, we want to know the level of the current perception of the determinants of sustainable development in government and business sector, to identify areas of opportunity in each of the dimensions and be a driver to be growing in this concept. For the development of the research was carried out the following procedure: sample selection, data collection, analysis of validity and reliability of the instrument, data analysis and presentation of results. The general level of awareness of development in government and business sector is considered medium / minimum acceptable. The dimension of technological development fair is located on the upper level and the lowest dimension in the level of perception was sustainable environmental development, but is located within the same range of medium / minimum acceptable than other dimensions.
