Networks and flows of knowledge transfer in aquaculture in the north of Sinaloa

Abstract

The present investigation contributes to the scientific literature an empirical analysis with theoretical support to evidence the role that the knowledge network represents, by contributing in the competitiveness of the organizations. The objective is to examine the business frameworks and the spill of technical knowledge, being the result of interactions between actors and information providers. A survey was applied to obtain data of first source based on the “appreciation” of the shrimp farmers of northern Sinaloa. The result reports two types of knowledge networks, a consequence of the continuous participation that is made up of the government sector and civil associations; evidencing how these networks are significantly different in their structural characterization.
