María del Carmen Liquidano Rodríguez's book, *Human Talent Management*, analyzes the evolution of human resource management, highlighting three key stages: personnel administration (1800-1935), human relations (1920-1947), and human resources (1947-2003). The author explains how the human resources function has transformed into a strategic tool, evolving from an administrative process to a talent-based management approach influenced by globalization and the knowledge economy. She also emphasizes the challenges faced by talent managers, such as adapting to the globalized environment and the need to manage knowledge and skills. The book is based on field research in Mexican companies, identifying practices and phases of evolution in human talent management.
