Profile industrial msmes in Mexico: an empirical study

Abstract

The book presents a comprehensive study of industrial SMEs in Mexico, highlighting their economic importance, the problems arising from their classification, the limitations they face in accessing public programs, and the limited results of previous policies. Through a survey of 394 companies, their current profile is described, revealing challenges such as technological lag, low investment, limited innovation, and difficulties in competing. Even so, their contribution to employment is acknowledged, along with the need to design more specific and effective public policies that promote their sustained development.
