The objective of this work was to carry out a study of University-Society-Government linkage strategies to promote female entrepreneurship in Mexico and Spain, in order to know which university linkage strategies are used to promote female entrepreneurship in Mexico and Spain, as well as to recognize the differences in the conditions under which women in both contexts are engaged. A documentary and field research was conducted with unstructured interviews with those responsible for the entities that have the responsibility of promoting entrepreneurship in both countries. The main findings show that there are many more institutions and programs to promote entrepreneurship in Spain, and therefore the University-Business-Government linkage is broader, with the implementation of incubators in a large number of institutions, such as universities, town halls and business chambers and Foundations Society Company that seek to foster links between the industrial and academic fabric. Hence, the strategies that exist to support women’s entrepreneurship, with specific programs that support women at all stages of women-led enterprises, are clearer.
