About the Journal
Revista Ingeniería y Tecnología UAS (RIT-UAS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the Facultad de Ingeniería Culiacán of the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa (UAS), Mexico. Established in 2018, the journal was created to promote the dissemination of high-quality scientific and technological knowledge in engineering and related disciplines, fostering academic communication, innovation, and knowledge transfer between the scientific community and society.
The journal was founded under the leadership of Dr. Edén Bojórquez Mora, Founding Editor-in-Chief, with the coordination of M.Sc. Karla López Ley. Since its inception, RIT-UAS has served as a specialized scholarly platform dedicated to publishing original research articles, technological developments, review papers, and other scientific contributions that advance knowledge and address contemporary societal challenges.
RIT-UAS was established in response to the growing need for scientific dissemination channels capable of increasing the visibility of engineering and technology research at regional, national, and international levels. Guided by this vision, the journal has evolved into a multidisciplinary forum that promotes the generation, exchange, and application of scientific knowledge, contributing to technological innovation, sustainable development, and the education of highly qualified professionals.
The mission of Revista Ingeniería y Tecnología UAS is to disseminate original research and technological developments that contribute to the advancement of engineering, applied sciences, and emerging technologies. The journal also seeks to strengthen collaboration among researchers, academics, students, and professionals by fostering international scientific cooperation and the development of academic networks.
The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, faculty members, graduate and undergraduate students, professionals, and specialists involved in scientific and technological research. Its scope encompasses a broad range of disciplines, including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Renewable Energy, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Technology Management, and related fields.
To maximize the dissemination and international visibility of published research, RIT-UAS accepts manuscripts in both Spanish and English. This bilingual policy promotes the participation of authors from different countries and facilitates the exchange of knowledge among scientific communities worldwide, thereby contributing to the internationalization of research and scholarly communication.
The journal is published on a semiannual basis and operates under a fully open-access model, allowing unrestricted and free access to all published content. This editorial philosophy contributes to the democratization of scientific knowledge and facilitates the transfer of research outcomes to academic, industrial, governmental, and social sectors.
Since its foundation, RIT-UAS has maintained a strong commitment to editorial excellence, publication ethics, and academic integrity. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process conducted by experts in the corresponding fields, ensuring originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and scientific quality.
The journal promotes academic diversity, editorial independence, and internationalization. In accordance with these principles, more than 70% of the members of its Editorial Board are affiliated with institutions outside the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa, ensuring plurality, independence, and scientific excellence in editorial decision-making.
The Editorial Board includes distinguished researchers and scholars from leading national and international institutions, including the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Instituto Mexicano del Petróleo (IMP), as well as universities and research centers from Italy, Colombia, Ecuador, Japan, the United Kingdom, Spain, Argentina, and other countries.
As a result of its continuous efforts to strengthen editorial quality and scientific dissemination, Revista Ingeniería y Tecnología UAS is indexed in Latindex (Regional Online Information System for Scientific Journals of Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal), one of the most important information and reference systems for academic journals in Ibero-America.
Throughout its development, the journal has contributed to the dissemination of research focused on infrastructure, sustainability, energy, manufacturing, automation, digital transformation, risk management, environmental protection, artificial intelligence, and technological innovation.
In alignment with the principles of open science, editorial transparency, and responsible scientific communication, Revista Ingeniería y Tecnología UAS continues to strengthen its editorial processes and expand its national and international presence.
