Mujeres en el mercado laboral: una aproximación desde el urbanismo con perspectiva de género y la noción de cuidados

Abstract

Several authors have described the social organization of care as a basis for women´s participación in labor markets, especially those located in urban áreas. In addittion, their mobility is also conditiones to the care of ohers, thus limiting full Access to employment due to the need for constant access to various services. Cities are not designed to meet the need of caregivers, thus afecting the daily lives of those whore are responsable for these activities. The aim of this paper is to analize how the accessibility and quality of public space for movility in cities improves the conditions for women to combine paid work and care. Urban planning with a gender perspective is an alternative that responds to the needs of women as actors who contribute to the economy and to the reproduction of life.

Actualmente estudiante de Doctorado en Ciencias Sociales y   profesora de asignatura en la Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa en la Facultad de Trabajo Social.
