Open Access Policy

The journal adopts a Diamond Open Access model that is immediate, free of charge, and permanent, with the purpose of promoting the circulation, visibility, and social use of the knowledge produced by the national and international academic community.

The journal considers scientific knowledge to be a public good whose dissemination must be carried out under principles of equity, inclusion, academic collaboration, and social responsibility. Accordingly, all published content is available free of charge to readers from the moment of publication and may be freely accessed from anywhere in the world.

Under this policy, any user may read, download, copy, print, share, distribute, link to, and use the published articles for academic, scientific, educational, or research purposes, without the need to request prior authorization from the journal or the authors, provided that the terms of the corresponding publication license are respected.

This policy is aligned with the principles established by the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), as well as with international practices that promote the democratization of access to knowledge and the strengthening of open science.

Copyright

Authors retain ownership of the moral and intellectual rights over their works.

Through the acceptance and publication of their contributions, authors grant the Journal a non-exclusive license for the editing, publication, preservation, dissemination, and public communication of the content in any medium or format.

This authorization enables the journal to guarantee the visibility, preservation, and permanent accessibility of the published works, without implying any transfer of intellectual property ownership over the works.

Likewise, authors may deposit, disseminate, and share the published version of their works in institutional or subject repositories, personal websites, academic networks, or scientific dissemination platforms, provided that the original publication in the journal is acknowledged.

Editorial Charges Policy

The Journal operates under a non-profit academic publishing model and does not establish economic barriers to the publication or consultation of its content.

Accordingly, the journal:

  1. Does not charge fees for the reception or submission of manuscripts.
  2. Does not apply charges for evaluation, peer review, or editorial assessment.
  3. Does not charge Article Processing Charges (APCs).
  4. Does not apply costs for style editing, technical editing, layout, or publication.
  5. Does not require payment to access, consult, or download published content.

All editorial services provided by the journal are completely free of charge for authors, reviewers, and readers.

Editorial Sustainability

The operation and maintenance of the Journal are supported by the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa as the publishing entity, which provides the human, technological, and organizational resources necessary to ensure the continuity of the publication, the quality of its editorial processes, and the digital preservation of its content.

This institutional sustainability model makes it possible to guarantee open access without transferring costs to authors or readers, thereby strengthening the free dissemination of knowledge and the fulfillment of the social function of scientific communication.
