The indigenous agency: theoretical-conceptual considerations

The indigenous population, from the local to the global space, have demonstrated publicly to demonstrate, negotiate and demand the solution of their problems and determining demands. In this visibility process, agents have been formed and reinforced who have assumed the responsibilities of management, intermediation and organization. Therefore, the article presents a theoretical-conceptual proposal to analyze the formation, presence and actions of the indigenous agency. The proposal emphasizes the construction of indigenous identity and its strategic-situational-positional qualities, as well as the conscious use of culture to achieve objectives.
