Reflections on urban regeneration and the night-time economy in the downtown area of Culiacán, 2009-2022

This text is a reflection about urban regeneration and the night-time economy in the downtown are of the city of Culiacán, in the state of Sinaloa. Relevant aspects include the location of the city, its urban growth and the importance of its road network. The hypothesis suggests the adequate urban planning and regeneration can improve the quality of life and the local economy. The methodology includes analysis of historical and urban documents, focused on conservation and improvementof public services. The results show progress in urban functionality, although challenges such as depopulation and commercialization of the urban center persist. The need for sustainable urban policies and citizen participation is emphasized to consolidate these efforts.
