The main objective of this research is to demonstrate the relationship between the variables organizational transformation through knowledge management, commitment and competencies, and compliance with objective 8 (decent work and economic growth) of sustainable development in an exporter company. The design used is a cross-sectional, non-experimental and mixed case study. It is a non-experimental investigation, because it was carried out intentionally; it is a cross-sectional study since data were collected at a single moment; it is mixed because the qualitative and quantitative methodology were combined; the qualitative part was carried out through the bibliographic review to reinforce the theoretical framework and the establishment of the indices and indicators; the quantitative was applied in the field research, analyzed from an external and objective perspective through cross tabulation, in order to generalize the results of the surveyed population. Likewise, a multivariate correlational transactional analysis was carried out, since they describe the relationships between three variables. The main results of the research indicate that the variables are related, both statistically and through the qualitative information analyzed. It is concluded that, through organizational transformation through the management of knowledge, commitment and competencies, the goals of objective 8 of sustainable development can be met.
