Reflections on the legal-political relationship regarding sexual and reproductive rights

Abstract

Current demands related to sexual and reproductive rights go far beyond militancy and debates in public opinion. The appeal to respect individual liberties opens a field of research that can be approached from the relationship between law and politics. To contribute to the analysis, this paper makes a theoretical review of this relationship under the premise that freedom, equity and justice constitute a common horizon that would materialize in a real and desirable social order with a solid and operational legal basis
