This paper analyze the identity and cultural habits of border residents in the city of Tijuana, Baja California. Identity and cultural practices are operationalized through variables such as culinary practices, festive, clothing, language, religion, for both: natives and immigrants in this border city. The methodology used to carry out this analysis was qualitative, based on a depth interview with forty three people chosen in a random way, whose variable in common is that they are Mexican and live in Tijuana during 2016. The approach of the theoretical analysis was made from the theories of the assimilation and cultural integration, widely studied by Jordi Garreta Bochaca (2003), Gordon (1964) and Aparicio and Tornos (2009). Field work was carried out during the month of April 2016.
