Towards the end of the 1980s, Argentina was going through a hyperinflationary process that ended up placing liberalism as the only possible way out of the economic, political and social crisis. Within this framework, the expansion of private social research spaces linked to the private sector took place. Understanding then that think tanks are one of the key gears for the circulation of ideas, the article intends to identify and characterize the network of experts that worked in Fundación FIEL during the 1990s in the development of recommendations on economic policy and reform of the State. In addition, an attempt is made to describe the link between economic interests (business class), academics and other experts (intellectual class), and other professionals (cultural class elements) and the political class.
