Abstract

Genomics is an integral discipline that, through the use of modern technologies, allows us to solve environmental, animal, agricultural and human concerns of global importance.

    I graduated from the bachelor's degree in genomic biotechnology at the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, in the Faculty of Chemical Biological Sciences, where I had the opportunity to carry out two research stays, one at the Center for Research and Assistance in Technology and Design of the State of Jalisco, A.C. (CIATEJ), where I had the opportunity to work on bioinformatic analysis for the identification of microorganisms and their functional pathways in a compost from sugar cane bagasse for its possible use as biofertilizer, in addition I also worked on a stay at the National Institute of Genomic Medicine (INMEGEN), in Mexico City, where I also applied bioinformatic analysis but now for the identification of genetic variants of covid dispersed throughout the country. I am currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the Faculty of Biology of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa and I belong to the State Network of Researchers of the state of Sinaloa, as an Associate Science Communicator. My interests focus on the application of bioinformatics in different areas such as medicine and environmental biotechnology.
