Abstract

This paper presents the description of the main financing options available to smes in Sinaloa

from the Development Bank both at the federal, state and municipal levels, trusts are also included, considered as financial institutions that reinforce the role of banking capital resources and take implicit risks involved in projects selected for their social benefits.

The study revealed that the sources of financing for smes have a wide variety of programs that are scattered in a large number of dependencies that duplicate their functions, which makes it very difficult for managers of smes to find the adecuate financing option according to their needs; the results also showed that because some resources are operated by the so-called second-tier bank, these institutions do not advertise them as funds from the government sector. Finally, the article proposes to unify all the programs in one fund to be administered by the states according to their regional realities, thus avoiding the duplication of functions and spending generated.
