Programming languages for statistics: R, Python and Julia.
Keywords:
Statistics and probability, R language, Python, Julia language, comparison of programming languagesAbstract
Probability and statistics is an area from Mathematics, its main purpose is to take over data analysis by applying very specific methods to activities like data selection, data gathering, data treatment and results showing. In this article is shown a comparison of three different programming languages as a support tool for this area, these languages are Python, R and Julia. This study was taken over with different data sets to apply some statistics and probability operations, from these operations were evaluated the procedures done, one by one. The obtained results were compared using a Likert scale in which the conclusion was that R is the best language to use as a support tool for this area.
