Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Articles

Articles presenting research results, theoretical reflection, or analysis on any branch of Law and related areas are published, provided that they have not been published, either wholly or partially, in other journals. They are published once they have been positively evaluated by two anonymous disciplinary peers.

Reseñas

The compositions must have a limit of 5 pages and focus on recent books or research articles, with an age not exceeding 5 years from their publication. In this category, the works are expected to express, in a well-founded manner, the opinion of the reviewer regarding the content of the work.

The open-access publication policy of JUS Revista Jurídica is governed by the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This license allows third parties to adapt, distribute, reproduce, and display the article, provided that proper credit is given to the authors, to JUS Revista Jurídica, and to the specific issue, volume, year, and page numbers where the information was found. Any derivative works must be licensed under the same terms. No commercial use of the published material is permitted.

Authors retain the intellectual property rights to their works but grant JUS Revista Jurídica the right to publish and disseminate them. JUS Revista Jurídica undertakes not to use the works for commercial purposes.

Authors may enter into separate and additional independent contractual agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the article, provided that it is clearly stated that the work was originally published in this journal.

Once contributions have been published, they may not be modified or altered by either the authors or the readers.
