Submissions
Authors are invited to submit to this journal. All submissions will be evaluated by an editor to determine if they meet the objectives and scope of this journal. Those deemed suitable will be sent to a double-blind peer review, before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.
This journal does not charge for the publication of articles, nor does it provide payment for the review of articles.
Before submitting a text, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included in it, such as photos, documents, and data sets. All authors identified in the submission must give their consent to be identified as authors. Where applicable, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the country of the study.
An editor may reject a submission if it does not meet minimum quality standards. Before submitting, ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated correctly. The title should be concise and the summary should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood that reviewers will agree to review the article. Once you are certain that your shipment meets this standard, continue to the checklist below to prepare your shipment.
All texts submitted must be the product of original research and unpublished. In order to encourage good academic practices and prevent plagiarism, multiple or redundant publication, the authors will accompany their text with a signed document that clearly states that it is an original and unpublished text, and that indicates that it has not been submitted simultaneously to any other journal or is part of a larger work in the process of publication in print or electronic media. Sending or delivering a work to this journal commits its author not to submit it to other publications for consideration. Drafts are not accepted. The works delivered will be final and complete versions, written correctly, without spelling or syntax errors. Changes and corrections will not be accepted once the evaluation process has started. The submission of the proposal must be through this platform.
The following information about the author(s) must be clearly indicated in an attached document. Collaborative works with more than three authors will not be accepted. Review authors must also submit this document.

General manuscript requirements:
Manuscripts may be written in Spanish or English.
They must be submitted electronically as a .doc file, using Arial font, 12-point size, and 1.5 line spacing. All text, including the title and section subheadings, must be in title case.
The title should be in 14-point font, all caps, and centered. Do not use bold or italics.
Subheadings should be 14-point font, left-centered. Do not use bold or italics.
Footnotes should be 10-point font.
All content should be centered. Avoid using any formatting other than standard formatting. Documents with tracked changes will not be accepted.
Requirements for Scientific Articles:
The article must have the following structure: centered title, 14-point font, all capital letters; full name and academic degree of the author(s), right-justified, 12-point font; affiliation, in italics and right-justified, 12-point font; abstract in English and Spanish, single-spaced; four keywords, in italics, each with a capital letter; it must contain the following sections: introduction, methodological note, development of the work, conclusions, and bibliography.
The article should be between 20 and 25 pages long.
Citations and references to statistical works and sources should be in APA 7th edition format. Examples: (Valdez, 2012, pp. 44-66), (Valenzuela, Woo, and O’Leary, 2012, p. 25), or (Valenzuela et al., 2012, p. 25).
The bibliography should include only the works cited in the text.
The bibliography should be in alphabetical order by the author's last name, first name, and the publication date in parentheses.
All databases consulted should be included in the bibliography without distinguishing the type of source; that is, list all articles, books, statistical sources, and websites.
Only book titles and journal names should be italicized.
Titles of articles, book chapters, and conference papers should be enclosed in quotation marks.
Journal articles should be listed in the bibliography with the following information: Last name and first initial of the author(s). (Year). “Article title,” journal name, volume (issue number): and article pages.
Internet references must include the author (individual or institutional), year of publication, “article title, note, document title,” and website.
Footnotes should be used only for additional comments and must be properly numbered.
If the review contains images, tables, or graphs, please submit a separate original file. Indicate the location of each graphic in the text, using brackets and numbering them correctly.
Review book characteristics:
A book review may refer to a single book or monograph by a single author, a collective work, or several works on a single theme or series compiled in multiple volumes.
Its length should be approximately 750 to 1500 words (10,150 characters including spaces maximum).
The review should offer readers an engaging, informative, and critical discussion of the work.
The review must be published no more than two years after the work being reviewed. In the case of edited volumes, you should comment on the dominant themes with reference to the specific chapters, as well as the book's implications for research, policy, practice, or theory.
The review heading should include: Author(s) or editor(s) name and surname(s) (Year of publication), Book title, Publisher: Place of publication, Number of pages, ISBN. If an electronic version is available, indicate this.
At the end of the review, include: Reviewer's name and surname, institutional affiliation, and email address.
Originality Policy
This journal publishes exclusively unpublished works. All manuscripts submitted for editorial consideration must be original, the product of the authors' intellectual work, and must not have been previously published in any medium or format, whether print or electronic, in any language.
Furthermore, the manuscript must not be under simultaneous review by another journal or publisher at the time of submission. Submission of a work to this journal implies the authors' express declaration that both conditions are met.
For the purposes of this policy, a work is considered to have been previously published when any of the following situations occur:
The full text has been disseminated in any publicly accessible medium, print or digital.
Substantial excerpts of the manuscript form part of a previously published work.
The work appears in its entirety in proceedings of academic events or other publicly distributed publications.
Unpublished versions of previously published articles translated into another language will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the editorial committee, which will determine their admissibility according to the journal's criteria for originality and relevance.
Any violation of this policy, once detected, will be handled according to the procedures established in the journal's Editorial Code of Ethics and the protocols of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Co-authorship Policy
Authorship Criteria
This journal considers any person who has made a substantial intellectual contribution to the creation of a published work to be an author. In accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), to be listed as an author, the following three requirements must be met:
Participation in the conception and design of the work, or in the acquisition of the data, or in the analysis and interpretation of the results that led to the article.
To have participated in the drafting of the manuscript or its critical review with substantive contributions to its intellectual content.
To have approved the version submitted for publication.
Those who do not meet these three criteria may only be acknowledged in the acknowledgments section. To prevent fictitious or usurped authorship, it is recommended that, before submitting the manuscript, all signatories explicitly agree on their individual contributions and the order in which they will appear in the authorship list.
Declaration of Contribution Using the CRediT Taxonomy
To specify the contribution of each author, this journal recommends using the roles established by the CRediT Contributor Roles Taxonomy. The applicable categories are described below:
Conceptualization. Formulation or development of the general objectives and goals of the research.
Data Curation. Management, annotation, cleaning, and maintenance of research data—including software code when necessary for interpretation—for initial use and subsequent reuse.
Formal analysis: Application of statistical, mathematical, computational, or other formal techniques to analyze or synthesize the study data.
Funding: Obtaining the funding that made the project leading to the publication possible.
Research: Execution of the research process, particularly conducting experiments or collecting data and evidence.
Methodology: Development or design of the methodology; creation of models.
Project management: Management and coordination of the planning and execution of research activities.
Resources: Provision of study materials, reagents, samples, instrumentation, computational resources, or other analytical tools.
Software: Programming, development, and design of computer programs; implementation of code and supporting algorithms; testing of existing code components.
Supervision: Leadership and supervision of the planning and execution of research activities, including external mentoring of the core team.
Validation: Verification, as part of the process or independently, of the replicability and reproducibility of results and other research outputs.
Visualization: Preparation, creation, or presentation of the published work with regard to data visualization.
Drafting: Original draft. Preparation and drafting of the initial manuscript, including substantive translation where applicable.
Editing: Review and editing. Critical review, commentary, and editing of the published work by members of the research team, both before and after publication.
At the end of each article published in this journal, a note entitled
A "Statement of Authorship Contribution" will be required, specifying the role of each signatory according to the categories above.
Author Order
To determine the order in which names appear in the article's authorship, authors may adopt any of the three widely accepted conventions in scientific practice:
First-Last-Author-Emphasis (FLAE). The first and last authorships have equal weight. Intermediate authorships are ordered in descending order according to the magnitude of their contribution.
Sequence-Determines-Credit (SDC). The authorship order directly reflects the relative importance of each contribution.
Equal Contribution (EC). Alphabetical order is used to recognize equivalent contributions or to resolve disagreements within collaborative groups.
Responsibility and Ethics
The opinions and facts presented in each article are the sole responsibility of its authors, as is the ethical suitability of the work. By submitting a manuscript, authors declare that the text is their own work, that it respects the intellectual property rights of others, and that they have the necessary permissions to use, reproduce, and print any material not owned by them—such as tables, graphs, maps, diagrams, and photographs. Submitting an article also implies a declaration that the work is original and has not been published or is currently under review by another journal.
Inclusive and Non-Sexist Language
Internationals. Journal of Social Sciences of the Mexican Pacific recommends the use of inclusive and non-sexist language to avoid any type of bias, stereotype, and discrimination at any stage of publication and for all groups (authors, reviewers, editorial team) involved with the journal. In this regard, the guidelines provided by the Ministry of the Interior, Manual for the Use of Inclusive and Gender-Sensitive Language, are recommended.
ORCID Identifier
To eliminate ambiguities arising from similar names and to ensure the correct attribution of publications and citations, this journal requires all authors to include their ORCID identifier. While ORCID alone does not guarantee unambiguous identity, its adoption provides an additional safeguard against identity fraud in academic authorship.
Institutional Affiliation
Each author must indicate their institutional affiliation and the country in which they are located.
Change of Authorship
Any addition, deletion, or rearrangement of authors must be processed before the manuscript is accepted and requires the express approval of the journal's editorial team.
To request a modification, the lead author must submit the following to the editorial team:
Justification for the requested modification.
Written confirmation from all signatories expressing their agreement. In the case of adding or deleting an author, the consent of the affected author must also be included.
Once the manuscript has been accepted, changes to the authorship list will only be considered under duly justified circumstances. During the evaluation of the request, the publication process will be suspended. If the article is already available online at the time the change is approved, a correction note will be published documenting the modification.
Conflict of Interest
The most frequent conflicts of interest are of an economic nature: direct employment, consulting fees, participation in companies, payment for conferences, or patent ownership. However, conflicts of interest can also arise from personal relationships, intellectual rivalries, academic competition, or ideological stances.
When submitting an article, all authors are required to declare any financial or personal relationships with public or private entities that could influence—intentionally or unintentionally—the results of the work. Likewise, they must declare any non-financial relationships that could constitute a conflict of interest of a personal, academic, ideological, political, or religious nature.
This declaration must be made at the time of submission. The aim is not to exclude those with potential conflicts from publication, but rather to allow readers to have the necessary information to assess whether any bias may have influenced the development or conclusions of the work.
At the end of each published article, a note entitled "Conflict of Interest" will be included. In the absence of a conflict, the note will state: None.
Copyright Notice
The Editorial Board of the International Journal. The Journal of Social Sciences of the Mexican Pacific reminds the author(s) of the submitted manuscript that its content must be original and unpublished, and that it has not been previously published in another journal or medium. Works previously presented at conferences or workshops, or as abstracts from these events, are accepted, provided their structure conforms to the journal's manuscript submission guidelines.
The authors of the manuscript must be the same individuals who contributed to the project in its conception, execution, and development, as well as in data collection, interpretation of results, writing, and literature review.
Declaration of originality and unpublished status

Consent has been obtained from those who provided unpublished data obtained through verbal or written communication, and said communication and authorship are duly identified.

The results of this study have been interpreted objectively. Any results contrary to the viewpoint of the signatories are presented and discussed in the manuscript.
