Migración de retorno en la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara: retorno educativo y socialización

This paper aims to help understanding the educational return, starting from the migratory experience in the United States. It aims to identifying the motivations that led young people to make the decision to return to the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara, as well as to have a better knowledge of the process of socialization of young returnees, especially in the educational context. The information presented here was collected through semi-structured interviews with the purpose of analyzing the oral testimonies of the population who returned with the intention of continuing studying in Mexico. Among the findings are presented the types of negotiations that were made in the family before taking the decision to return, the relationship with the family left behind and communication with the family that they have just met. You can also find experiences in the linguistic field with special attention in the consequence or advantage that this represents for their academic development.
