Motivation and leadership are pivotal elements in shaping societal dynamics. This paper delves into the intricate relationship between motivation and leadership within academic and professional spheres, particularly in the face of crises like the unprecedented challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis encompasses a comprehensive exploration of the definitions and manifestations of motivation, distinguishing between intrinsic and extrinsic sources. Additionally, it scrutinizes various leadership styles, encompassing planning, innovation, and transformational approaches. The conclusions underscore that, despite the arrival of COVID-19 thrusting many individuals into uncharted territory and fundamentally reshaping their daily routines, it also catalyzed significant transformations. These include the shift from traditional work or study settings to home environments and the exploration of alternative strategies for sustaining employment and ensuring survival.
