This research offers an analytical view of the complex interaction between media, gender violence, and armed conflict, highlighting how media can simultaneously elucidate and obscure this violence in the context of rapid globalization. The problem is unraveled from sociological, communicative, and legal angles, exploring both the potential of the narrative established by the media and how it reinforces its ability to perpetuate stereotypes and trivialize violence. Supported by a qualitative methodology with a hermeneutic focus, the study seeks to contribute to the debate on ethical communication that promotes human rights in war-torn settings, offering a set of insights to understand the nature of gender violence and facilitating the development of public policies in Colombia.
