In this research the amount of debt used in the capital structure of 81 companies in the Mexican Stock Exchange(BMV) for business cycles from 1990 to2011was used for this financial information is presented for each of the companies corresponding to 87 quarters, and the average difference between the paired mean values of the financial ratios that measure the amount of debt used in business, in times of crisis versus non-crisis, was calculated and found that if there is significant statistical difference. Finally, it was found that the amounts of debt varies by sector BMV differently, that is to say, that the firm financing the BMV varies by time of crisis versus non-economic crisis differently depending on whether the sector concerned.
