Entrepreneurship: its relationship with self-efficacy

Entrepreneurship in Mexico is an important development factor for the economy, of the total companies considered in 2015, 97.6% are microenterprises and concentrate 75.4% of the total employed personnel (ENAPROCE, 2015), so that the entrepreneur and his intentions are studied of undertaking is paramount. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy is one of the main features of entrepreneurs as it is positively related to the intention to create a company of its own, given that in Mexico there are few studies on AE, this research aims to be a starting point in this topic, focused on studying the importance of entrepreneurial self-efficacy and its relationship with entrepreneurship intent and how it influences entrepreneurs’ decisions. The main finding of this research shows that entrepreneurial self-efficacy is related to entrepreneurship intention, regardless of whether it is men or women, except for the “investors” dimension, which could be due to risk aversion. women.
