Critical and Practical Proposal of the United Nations Model as a Pedagogical Tool for Peace Education from the Perspective of Formative Research

Abstract

The students of the International Public Law subject of the Bachelor’s Degree on Foreign Affairs of the Rosario Castellanos University in Mexico City have found it difficult to identify the regulatory function of International Humanitarian Law in particular. Our critical proposal is a formative investigation since it tries to develop skills and learning in the improvement of the program on Foreign Affairs within the URC from the United Nations Model by the pedagogical model of hybridity of the URC to starting from the methodological foundation of peace education. The implementation of the United Nations Model, will contribute to the improvement of teaching-learning processes and improvement of pedagogical practice, incorporating them transversally in prototypical problems, and critical incidents, integrating evidence, authentic tasks and authentic evaluations of the subject of Public International Law.
