This work, Historias en la esquina del mundo, offers an overview of Tendencias en la historiografía bajacaliforniana del siglo XXI. Through an analysis of the themes explored by the authors—such as border institutions, religion, women's history, urban history, and public policy—each chapter demonstrates efforts to diversify documentary sources, adopt new theoretical frameworks, and expand the scope of regional history. This review examines the structure of the volume, highlights its principal contributions, and reflects on the historiographical challenges it presents, including the need for interdisciplinary approaches and the broader inclusion of social actors in historical narratives.
