This article was written with the aim of offering a different perspective on teaching. Every day, educators dedicate themselves to the art of teaching, providing future generations with the tools and skills that will make them better professionals and value-driven human beings, capable of contributing positively to the society or country they belong to. Additionally, it seeks to emphasize that students are not alone on this journey. In the Academic Units of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, they have support and academic assistance through disciplinary advising provided by the teachers in each upper secondary and higher education school. These advisories aim to reinforce the learning acquired in the classroom, offering teachers the opportunity to identify and personalize students' areas of weakness, dispel their doubts about the topics covered in class, and support those with specific educational needs, adapting to each student's pace. Ultimately, these advisories transform weaknesses into strengths, enabling students to progress in their academic journey and in life.
