Interinstitutional synergy to study the anthrachnosis of mangroves in Mexico.

Abstract

Anthracnose is caused mainly by fungi of the Colletotrichum genus. It is a disease that affects  mangroves, ecosystems that are important and productive. This study present  a collaborative approach for the first time between different institutions for the analysis and understanding of the effect of anthracnose in Mexican mangroves. The causes of the disease are also explored and ecological implications are evaluated.
