Abstract

A general review was made of the most relevant aspects of white shrimp farming Penaeus spp. in Mexico considering water salinity as the reference variable, which includes freshwater crops (0 - 1 practical salinity units) (PSU for its acronym in English), brackish water (> 1 - 30 PSU), saline water (> 30 - 38 PSU) and hypersaline water (> 38 PSU) and their influence on the performance of shrimp Penaeus spp
