Keywords:
Aquaculture , Scientific research, Agriculture, impact factorAbstract
A synthesis is presented of how much and where the Sinaloa scientists publish their research based on the journals published inside and outside of Mexico registered in the Elsevier Scopus database. In the same context, the areas that are most researched are also briefly discussed, who finances or sponsors such research, the topics of greatest leadership, and in the case of the marine sciences researcher, which topics have had the greatest impact and which group of organisms have been the most and least studied during the last 45 years. This information is valuable for identifying the strengths and weaknesses of various research lines, enabling authorities, institutions and research groups to make informed decisions on creating, promoting, reviewing, consolidating, or prioritizing specific areas of knowledge.
