The professional competencies of the graduates of the degree in business administration

This research was carried out with the objective of evaluating the profile of professional competences of the graduates of the Degree in Business Administration under a descriptive correlation design, with a qualitative-quantitative approach. Through a standardized questionnaire and interviewing a sample of students, professors and graduates, the results obtained show a low level of performance of professional skills that is caused by the inadequate correlation of the teaching-learning process with the requirements of the productive sector in which the graduates work after completing their studies. The research provides a series of guidelines in order to restructure the curricula of Business Administration, so that its content, teaching strategies, business incubators and student professional skills are all in line with the demands of the sector productive, with the opportunities that emerge in it and, in parallel, with the consolidation of knowledge through experience and practice in the real context.
