At the heart of parasitology: reflections from COPANEO 2024 in Colombia

Congresses are key events for the exchange of knowledge, global collaboration, national and international dissemination, and the advancement of science. The International Congress of Neotropical Parasitology (COPANEO) organises such events annually, bringing together academics and researchers in the field of parasitology to share and apply their knowledge in areas such as conservation, biodiversity, and public health. This article aims to highlight the importance of participating in international conferences related to parasitology, while also contributing to the development of communication skills, staying updated on relevant topics, and establishing connections with fellow researchers—fostering the expansion of knowledge and the strengthening of professional development.
