What is to educate? An etymological analysis of the concept and its relationship to uas educational approaches

This article explores the meaning of educate through an etymological analysis of the term, highlighting two main approaches: educare and educere. Based on this review, both perspectives are compared with the pedagogical intentions of the UAS 2022 Educational Model and the 2018 Curriculum of the UAS High School, in its in-person and school-based modality.
