The Research in Administrative Sciences (ICA) Journal was founded in 2011. It is peer-reviewed and published biannually on March 30 and September 30 of each year. It is open access online and is aimed at researchers, academics, and scholars who contribute to the development of the broad and diverse field of social issues.
The journal ICA addresses topics related to the social sciences in general and their specific areas (political theory, sociological theory, political communication, political economy, public opinion, public management and policy, fiscal studies, and international relations, among others). As a platform for scientific production in the social sciences, it is committed to theoretical, methodological, and epistemological pluralism. Therefore, it adheres to the methodology recommended by indexing systems such as Redalyc (https://www.redalyc.org/) to continuously improve and become a journal of high scientific and editorial quality in the region, highlighting its essential qualities as a multiplier of the generation and communication of new, articulated, and integrated disciplinary knowledge, in accordance with the current epistemological, scientific-technological, and communicational (re)evolution.
Current Issue
The 21st issue of the journal presents research focused on organizational consulting, quality of work life, and professional competitiveness in various productive sectors. The issue opens with the application of a general consulting approach at an automotive plant in Empalme, highlighting the importance of comprehensive diagnostics for improving industrial processes. It also analyzes the quality of work life of the staff at a public accounting firm in Ciudad Obregón, providing evidence on factors that influence well-being and organizational performance. In the social sphere, the measurement and perception of social impact are examined as a strategic tool for social enterprises, underscoring the importance of evaluating results beyond financial indicators.
The issue also addresses the competitiveness of public accountants in professional development within teaching, based on the case of leaders of academic departments in Mexico, highlighting the role of research in accounting. From an occupational health perspective, burnout levels are studied among nursing professionals at a hospital in southern Sonora, revealing the emotional challenges of the healthcare sector. Finally, the formation of a shrimp cluster in Sinaloa is proposed as a strategy for innovation and sustainable improvement, highlighting productive articulation as an engine of regional competitiveness.
