The constant change and uncertainty generated by globalization and the opening of markets has influenced business leaders who want to stay in a market with demanding customers and aggressive competitors, make constant changes in the ways of doing and managing their organization. This reality was influential to decide to investigate the function of exercising leadership in companys owners in the municipality of Culiacán, Sinaloa. The research falls under the administrative and organizational studies, and has as its main objective: to investigate the personality characteristics and behavior of four leaders in their relationships with subordinates to determine the leadership style that they employs in achieving the organizational goals. The companies investigated are of a different twist: industrial, commercial and agricultural; different size: small, medium and large, the market varies from local, regional, national and export markets. The results provide for the services and products offered, organizational structure, relationship of the family in the creation and consolidation of the company, philosophy for organizational competitiveness and leadership style that they employs from personality characteristics and display behavior with its employees.
