This research will show the importance and need to create a shrimp cluster in the Mexican Republic, with Sinaloa and Sonora being the main producing states of white shrimp in the country and it is precisely there where the value chain of this product is developing with the greatest growth. The objective is to verify the viability of creating a shrimp cluster, showing the benefits of sustainable production, the disadvantages of being outside of it and maintaining an innovative culture within the cluster. It is an investigation based on a mixed type of diagnosis of the production areas both in a laboratory and a shrimp farm, achieved through a Life Cycle Analysis of shrimp in its production stage from cradle to cradle. door and an interview with key players in the value chain of this crustacean. It is interesting to show how the innovative fivefold helix model lacks the apathy to be a mainstay within the cluster. The impact of this research will serve as a watershed to continue with such an important issue in Mexico pertaining to the aquaculture sector.
