Nursing under threat: The challenge of caring in the midst of danger

Abstract

Being part of the nursing staff has always involved facing difficult situations, long shifts, patient overload and constant pressure are part of everyday life. However, in recent times, on top of all this, a much more dangerous challenge has been added: The threats I receive, both from patients and their families. What should be a caring and attentive environment sometimes becomes a tense scenario, where my personal safety is at risk.
