Abstract

The aim of this work is to study the resistance of some metallic materials available in the region
of Sinaloa, using a universal machine for destructive tests and to compare the results with those
expected according to the mechanical properties described in the corresponding technical data sheets. In addition, an instrumentation process is proposed and implemented in the universal machine to improve the user experience of teachers/students and extend the use of this type of robust and valuable equipment. Finally, the study in relation to the mechanical properties of the materials showed some differences with respect to the expected ones and the electronic/digital measurements obtained by the adapted instrumentation system provided close results to those described by the mechanical/analog system.
