Introduction: Menopause is a natural stage marked by hormonal and emotional changes that can significantly impact women's mental health. Objective: To analyze the psychological implications associated with menopause and to evaluate therapeutic interventions, including the use of phytoestrogens, aimed at improving quality of life. Development: The decline in estrogen levels during the climacteric stage has been linked to the emergence of symptoms such as anxiety and depression, highlighting the importance of implementing early screening strategies for the detection of mental health disorders. In this context, the use of phytoestrogens is explored as an effective therapeutic alternative to alleviate both physical manifestations and emotional disturbances. Likewise, psychosocial determinants are taken into account, and the impact of public health crises-such as the COVID-19 pandemic-on women's emotional balance is examined, underscoring the urgent need to establish comprehensive care approaches that integrate biomedical components with psychosocial support mechanisms. Conclusion: It is concluded that a multidisciplinary and preventive approach is essential to address the mental health challenges associated with menopause. The integration of hormonal therapies and emotional support emerges as a promising strategy to enhance overall well-being.
